Born in 2003 in New Delhi, Sourabh Chhawry is a visual artist based in India. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara (2026). Chhawry’s practice is rooted in close observations of everyday life, exploring intimate moments, shared spaces, and subtle human interactions. Drawing from personal photographs and memories of family and friends, Chhawry’s paintings reflect on ordinary gestures, quiet states of presence, and the emotional textures of lived experiences. 

Chhawry has participated in several group exhibitions, including Annual Degree Show at the Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda, Vadodara (2026); Verve at Gallery Mold, Vadodara (2025); Nasreen Mohamedi Scholarship Display at the Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda, Vadodara (2024, 2025); and Sangath (Batch Preview Exhibition) at the Exhibition Hall, Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda, Vadodara (2024). He has also participated in a theatre workshop on “Mausoleum” led by Manan Gangopadhyay (2024), engaging with histories of theatre, the commodification of art, and community-based practices.

Sourabh Chawwry currently  lives and works in New Delhi, India.
