Born in 1998 in Kannur, Kerala, Ganga Narayanan is a visual artist based between Delhi and Vadodara. She holds an MVA in Painting (Mural) and a BVA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara (2023, 2021). Her practice is informed by her engagement with art history, architecture, and conservation, exploring the relationship between memory, material, and the traces left behind by time. Narayanan’s practice reflects on the relationship between presence and absence, exploring how fragments, remnants, and material changes carry histories forward.
Narayanan has received the K. Karunakaran Memorial Scholarship Award from Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, Thrissur (2023) and the Padmashri Ramgopal Vijayvargiya Samman for Miniature Painting from Lalit Kala Akademi, Rajasthan and Kalavritt, Jaipur (2021). She has participated in several exhibitions, including Emergence: Pop Art at Alliance Française, Ahmedabad (2026); 52nd State Exhibition by Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, Kochi (2025); Art and Charlie with Raw Collaborative, Gandhinagar (2024); PRISTINE by Priyashri Art Gallery at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Mumbai (2022); and Kochi-Muziris Students Biennale (2021), among others.
Ganga Narayanan lives and works in between New Delhi and Vadodara.
