Tushar Waghela, born in 1975, is a filmmaker and visual artist with a Master’s Degree in Indian Philosophy. Over the past 27 years, he has made significant contributions to contemporary art and experimental cinema. His works, including video art, installations, and short films, have been showcased in numerous museums, galleries, universities, and over 150 international film festivals.
Notable achievements include participation in the Cannes Film Festival, London Asian Film Festival, and screenings at the British Film Institute, Collectif Jeune Cinema in Paris, and Doshisha University in Japan. One of his films competed for the prestigious Rajat Shankh National Award at the MIFF Mumbai Film Festival.
Tushar’s debut Hindi feature film, *Dhoosarit* (*The Gray*), is available on major digital platforms such as Amazon and MX Player, as well as several IPTV networks. He continues to create from his studio in Chhattisgarh, India.
